2. Slaves and masters is the only cd with the name of Deep Purple and Jo Lynn Turner at vocals and it works out very well. Blackmore is at his usual best and the rest of the band compliment this effort. Every song on this cd is good, not one dud. King of Dreams is a catchy tune that starts this set. The production is good and the instrumentation is clear/5().

3. Longtime Purple followers continued to hope that Blackmore-- who made promising contributions to the sound of 's reunion LP Perfect Strangers-- would help the band to reclaim the metal throne, but Slaves and Masters was hardly the album to further the cause.

King of Dreams (Single Edit) Slow Down Sister (Non-Album B-Side) One more track was recorded during the album sessions, "Fire, Ice and Dynamite", originally included on soundtrack album from the film "Fire, Ice and Dynamite". Hear No Evil didn't get permission from Sony to include this song on their Expanded Edition.

8. The last bit of badness arrives in the form of the commercial, poppy “Too Much is not Enough.”. It sounds like a Rainbow reject and I had enough after one listen. “Slaves and Masters” is a solid Deep Purple album and Turner provides energy to a band that lost some spark with the last effort “The House of Blue Light.”.
